Opening for Smile Empty Soul — A Night We Won’t Forget

Last night is one of those shows we’re going to remember for a long time.
We had the chance to open for Smile Empty Soul, and from the moment we arrived at the venue, there was a different kind of energy in the air. You could feel it backstage while loading in, setting up, and getting ready,everyone was locked in, and it felt like something big was about to happen.
Hitting the Stage
When we stepped on stage, it didn’t take long to realize this wasn’t going to be a typical opening set.
The crowd was already there and already engaged. Within the first few songs, the energy shifted. It stopped feeling like we were playing to a crowd and started feeling like we were playing with them.
Seeing people we’ve never met singing along, moving with the music, and fully locked into the moment, that’s something that never gets old. It’s one thing to perform your songs. It’s something else entirely to feel them coming back at you from the crowd.
The Moments That Stick
There were points during the set where we looked at each other on stage and just knew, this is exactly why we do this.
Everything felt tight. The sound, the transitions, the connection, it all came together in a way that you can’t force. Nights like that just happen when everything aligns.
And when they do, you feel it.
Sharing the Stage
Being part of a night like that, opening for Smile Empty Soul, made it even more meaningful. It elevated the entire experience and reminded us how powerful live music can be when the energy is real on both sides of the stage.
